United Soccer & COVID Safety

COVID Safety

United Spring League has registered with Saanich municipality our COVID safety plans.  Our plans adhere to the Public Health Office (PHO) requirements and viaSport requirements. Requirements include: proper field set up; staff training; coach training; PSE (hand sanitizer, masks, etc), cohort safety to ensure contact groups are small; and contact tracing.


We will be sharing all parents/players a COVID safety page and instructions for ensuring a healthy playing environment; ensure the safety of your players and ensure the safety of our community.

COVID FAQs

Q.  Should I pay if soccer is not going to be happening?

A. Yes - We are confident this season that given the success in vaccinations for the general population; that the BC Govenrnment will permit outdoor sport.  Outdoor sports were played all Fall Season (Sept/2021 - March/2022) with little to no impact


Q. Fees seem a bit higher this season?

A. Yes, we raised the fees a small amount (10%) in order to account for higher operating costs (uniforms, equipment, etc) and to hire some additional helpers for ensure the safety of your players (e.g. help to direct players on/off field, contact tracers, etc.).


Q.Will you have Personal Protecton Equipment at Park?

A.  Yes and No.  Yes - we will havehand sanitizer stations at park and some COVID procesdures (Entrance/Exit gates).  But we will NOT be providing personal masks to players.  This will have to be provided by families
